even closer: the Walmart clerk
Who would coolly hook a hot wire?
to your gonads, the fat monkey
keen on beheading, the cleaning lady
Who would fill their bucket with eyeballs?

And there is the displaced Scoutmaster
Who would corrupt the kids, the engineer?
who would manufacture a cheaper one
Slaughterhouse for unwanted, the MBA
Who would plan the full purge?
and drive the schedule at full tilt.

Add the rubbernecker to them,
Who just wants a decent view?
and those who, like most, would say
the sharp smoke rose
the chimney of this strange new building
is just not one of their business.
