The past few months have been great for Custom Line, a Ferretti Group Brand, having launched a total of seven yachts from 30 to 42 meters in less than three months, launched a cruise in the Mediterranean with their owners this summer. The latest masterpiece of the Custom Line was presented on March 24th at the Ferretti Group’s superyacht yard in Ancona.
Navetta 30 is the result of the collaboration between the Product Strategy Committee headed by Mr. Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group Technical department. The yacht is the first project to involve a partnership with three paradigms of “Made in Italy”, including the exterior design by the architect Filippo Salvetti and the project architecture by the design studio Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel. At the same time the interiors of Custom Line Atelier created to fully reflect the tastes and desires of the owner’s family.
Although the Navetta 30 is a smaller ship, it offers no less luxury. The yacht is an entry-level model from Ferretti that gives a taste of the elaborate customization the company can offer. The Navetta 30 is 28.4 meters high and has no raised pilothouse on the half-deck between the main deck and the flybridge. The exterior is used for conviviality and relaxation and expands the on-board spaces, which are dedicated to social interaction and privacy. In addition, integration and connection between indoor and outdoor spaces are a feature of the project, from stern to bow. This custom-made yacht reflects the personality of the owner family and includes numerous romantic and charming trademarks of the Navetta 30 in modern elegance and contemporary style.
With the outside Designer Filippo Salvetti delivered sophisticated, contemporary design in line with the brand’s DNA, which was filled with a few tricks. By visually bringing the hull to the upper deck and separating it from the gun whale with a sharp black horizontal line, the shapes of the upper deck could be optimized, ”Salvetti said in a statement. The Navetta 30 has a 7.3 meter beam with 197 gross tons and 22 percent more volume than its predecessor.
The team has seamlessly changed the “in” and “out” and created spaces in which guests feel closer to nature. The designer improved the elements by adding symmetry with the outlines and the water. A distillation of unique design and workmanship in every detail is characterized by unmistakable contemporary design and style features such as the extensive glazed surfaces in the hull, sundecks with more than two meters of headroom and generous stern and bow. A perfect circle unites the architectural language of the maritime tradition; The areas convey an immediate feeling of spaciousness. “The amount of space available for guests is really unusual, but you can really feel that the entire unit is designed as one unit,” said the yacht’s chief interior designer, Patricia Viel, in a statement.
Another obvious way to achieve fluidity is by using non-static furniture. The indoor and outdoor furniture are very similar, free-standing and customizable. Despite the general trend, the design creates a distinction between the boat and the furniture, which helps create the relationship between “in and out” as the furniture can be moved around and used differently. Small details repeat themselves throughout the yacht. For example, the same rope is used for detailing the sofa and the banister that leads to the sundeck. “The migration of these details gives the appearance a charming feel,” says Viel. “It’s also very tactile – it’s not just about the aesthetics or the colors and finishes. It’s about the things you touch when you use the boat.”
Every inch of the Navetta 30 has been made with the most discerning yacht owner in mind and is tastefully decorated. The large owner’s suite, four VIP cabins, the spacious dining and lounge area and the exceptionally large front sundeck offer a wide panoramic view of the ocean. The Navetta 30 seamlessly blends high performance specifications with luxurious living spaces and is the perfect home on the high seas.
The Navetta 30 has over four engine options to choose from. The package selected for hull no. 1 – MAN V8 with 1,000 hp – offers a top speed of 15 knots. The yacht was also designed to be efficient as the Navetta 30 uses 15 percent less fuel than the Navetta 28 at a speed of 13 knots, along with increased efficiency and range, the hull shape keeps the yacht straight or neutrally trimmed when it is gains in dynamism, which increases comfort.
