To make sure both people have the same level of control on the date, Hinge gives each of the aspiring lovers £ 50.
Hinge is one of the most popular dating apps in the UK. She combines swiping through competing apps like Tinder with a more personal approach and asks in-depth questions.
Tinder will introduce a background check feature in 2021
With Tinder and all of Match Group’s dating apps, users can quickly review potential dates before meeting them in person – but for a fee.
The Match group announced a partnership with the nonprofit background check platform Garbo Monday, which will be integrated with Tinder and other dating apps like OKCupid and Match.
The cost of the service is yet to be disclosed, but the average national criminal background check fee is around $ 7-15 per request.
The £ 50 per person will only be given to users if they organize an initial personal appointment between April 12th and 18th. Hinge expects there will be 50,000 appointments in the UK this week.
Users are encouraged to observe the coronavirus rules and take appropriate security precautions, such as: B. Avoid getting too cozy and follow social distancing.
After their first date, singles who would like to have a follow-up soirée must log back into the app on April 19 after 2 p.m. CET and report their first appointment using the “We Met” function.
Once a Hinge user does so, Hinge will email instructions on how to receive the £ 50 gift card that can be used on a second date.
The vouchers will be sent based on availability.
According to Hinge, 75 percent of users choose to go on a second date with someone they match up with on the app.
Each person must go through this process in order to receive the £ 50 voucher. Both partners must do this to receive the maximum of 100 pounds.
According to Hinge, more than half (54 percent) of users pay up to £ 50 on their first date.
