VirtualCons is fulfilling the Covid moment by providing entertainment fans with the Convention or Con experience through virtual programs that allow subscribers worldwide to remotely connect. Created by 3fams Productions, whose most recent SopranosCon allowed 15,000+ fans from around the world to interact with 50+ stars from the hit show. VirtualCons is a free app that can be downloaded, with which the Con community can virtually take part in congresses and special events all year round. The latest offering invites subscribers to join in as VirtualCons CEO Michael Mota, and award-winning actor and VirtualCons partner Armand Assante Visit Nicaragua in search of the perfect cigar.
Mota and Assante are broadcast live on Instagram and later displayed at any time via the VirtualCons app. They invite members / viewers to join in their visit to Nicaragua Plasencia cigars, one of the largest tobacco and cigar manufacturers in the world. Your search? To find the optimal cigar tobacco combination for use in an Assante approved cigar. “Our President Brandon Siemion was very close to the Plasencia family,” said Mota. “When Armand, a real cigar lover, decided to partner with VirtualCons, we got the idea to make his own cigar. Armand has always had a passion for cigars, so it was a perfect marriage. We flew to Miami and met the Plasencia family. After we met Armand, they knew it would be a good fit. Two legends come together. The end result will be a custom Armand Assante cigar sold by VirtualCons. ”
“A cigar allows me to pause, to withdraw and to absorb, to distance myself from what I can or cannot choose to do,” said Assante, who started Victor Vitale of Legacy Cigars in the early 2000s developed his own OraVivo cigar. He went through about 60 blends of superior Nicaraguan tobacco (Jalapa, Condejo, and Esteli, chosen by Eduardo Fernandez) before finding the balance that suited him best. He will do the same with Plasencia and select a proprietary VirtualCons product that bears his name.
Assante says he occasionally smokes socially with friends, but admits that he smokes alone in his studio when he’s writing or thinking. “Sometimes a cigar is a unique company,” said Assante, an Emmy-winning, four-time Golden Globe nominee. “I use a cigar in a way, especially when I’m working, to quicken my thinking. I no longer allow myself to get involved with anything or be influenced to reach a conclusion. I appreciate calm, stillness, or almost some form of meditation . It’s my way of life. ”
With his Plasencia efforts, Assante hopes to develop a cigar that a woman will appreciate too, and that goes with a great drink or espresso that the smoker can linger with. Such reflection and analysis take years of acquired taste. “Every facet of our life and the way we express ourselves is a matter of taste,” said Assante. Suffice it to say, I wouldn’t associate myself with a cigar that didn’t get a rating in at least the ’90s, and Plasencia’s Alma Fuerte and Alma Fuego are simply two of the greatest cigars ever made . “
“The partnership with Plasencia is both a great honor and a complete surprise. I have to express my sincere thanks to my key partners, especially Brandon Seimion and Michael Mota from VirtualCons, for initiating this.”
